ClaviCologne Festival Marks its Second Day with Continuation of Masterclasses
The second day of the 12th ClaviCologne International Piano Festival continued in full stride today at the "Luisa D'Annunzio" Conservatory of Music in Pescara, as an international group of young pianists took part in another intensive round of masterclasses with some of the world’s most celebrated piano educators.
As students moved from room to room throughout the halls of the conservatory, the spirit of learning and artistry was alive in every corner, with a variety of professors, including amongst them such names as Michel Beroff (France), Milana Chernyavska (Germany/Ukraine), Epifanio Comis (Italy), Severin von Eckardstein (Germany), Pietro De Maria (Italy), Stanislav Ioudenitch (USA), Hisako Kawamura (Japan), Giuliano Mazzoccante (Italy), Marios Papadopoulos (UK), and Zhe Tang (China), leading today’s sessions, as they delivered expert instruction, challenging exercises, and invaluable advice to their students.
Sergey Levin, one of the participants at the event, shared his enthusiasm about the experience so far, noting that “the thing I like the most about ClaviCologne is the opportunity to work with such world-renowned professors. I had the chance in the first two days to work with Professor Ioudenitch and on the second day with Professor Beroff, and it was so wonderful! The lessons were brilliant, and I learnt a lot of new things; it was a very special experience!”
The festival’s unique blend of pedagogical depth and wide variety has once again proven its value, as students continue to grow musically and professionally under the guidance of an elite international faculty. Now, as the festival enters its third day tomorrow, excitement is building for the continued masterclasses that will round out this prestigious event.
