Clavicologne International Piano Festival Announces Distinguished Faculty Line-Up
The Clavicologne International Piano Festival is set to welcome an exceptional roster of professors this year, bringing together some of Europe’s most respected pedagogues and concert pianists. Representing leading conservatoires and music universities, the festival’s faculty reflects both artistic excellence and international diversity.
Among the distinguished professors is Michel Béroff of France, a renowned pianist and pedagogue from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP). His longstanding contribution to French piano tradition makes his presence a major highlight of the festival.
Milana Chernyavska, representing Germany and Ukraine, joins the faculty from the Reina Sofía School of Music in Spain and the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz (KUG) in Austria. Known for her refined musicianship and dedication to nurturing young artists, she brings a truly international perspective.
Italy will be represented by Pietro De Maria, professor at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg in Austria, as well as at the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo and the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. His distinguished performing career and extensive pedagogical experience promise invaluable guidance for participants.
Pavel Gililov, also from the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, adds further prestige to the Austrian contingent. A highly respected mentor to prize-winning pianists, his involvement underscores the festival’s commitment to excellence.
From Armenia, Armine Grigoryan joins the faculty from the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, bringing a distinctive artistic voice and deep musical insight rooted in a rich cultural heritage.
Germany is strongly represented by Grigory Gruzman of the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar, Giuliano Mazzoccante of the Conservatorio di Musica “Luisa D’Annunzio” in Italy, and the celebrated piano duo Hans-Peter Stenzl and Volker Stenzl from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock. Their combined experience in both solo and ensemble repertoire will offer participants a broad and comprehensive educational experience.
Completing the impressive line-up is Austrian pianist Stefan Vladar from the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (mdw), an artist celebrated equally as a soloist and conductor.
