Grigory Gruzman to Lead Masterclasses at ClaviCologne 2026
Internationally renowned pianist and professor Grigory Gruzman will join ClaviCologne 2026 as a masterclass professor, sharing his expertise with the festival’s young pianists and emerging talents.
A distinguished educator and performer, Gruzman has taught at some of Germany’s leading music institutions, including the University of Music and Theatre Hamburg and the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar. Over the course of his teaching career, his students have won more than 55 prizes at national and international competitions, including 15 first prizes.
Born in Saint Petersburg, Gruzman built an impressive international career as both a soloist and chamber musician, performing at major venues across Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America, and the United States. He is also widely respected for his work as a lecturer and mentor, regularly giving masterclasses in six languages and serving on the juries of prestigious international piano competitions.
