Milana Chernyavska Joins Distinguished Faculty of ClaviCologne 2026
Celebrated pianist and pedagogue Milana Chernyavska has been announced as one of the professors for the 2026 edition of the ClaviCologne International Music Festival, further strengthening its outstanding international faculty.
A German artist of Ukrainian origin, Chernyavska is widely regarded as one of the leading pianists and teachers of her generation. Her artistry has been praised by figures such as Alfred Brendel, who famously noted the sense of “complete happiness” in her performances. Alongside her concert career, she has built a remarkable pedagogical legacy, holding professorships at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein, and the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid.
Chernyavska is a highly sought-after masterclass instructor and jury member at prestigious competitions, including the ARD International Music Competition and the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition. Her students have gone on to win top prizes at some of the world’s most renowned competitions, reflecting her profound influence as a mentor.
As a performer, she has appeared at major international festivals and venues such as the Lucerne Festival and Carnegie Hall, collaborating with leading artists including Julia Fischer and Lisa Batiashvili. Her extensive discography, released on labels such as Decca Records and Sony Classical, has earned numerous international awards.
