More Than Just Masterclasses: Discover the Complete ClaviCologne Experience in 2026
Applications are now open for the 13th edition of the ClaviCologne International Piano Festival, which will take place from 4–8 August 2026 at the Conservatory of Music "Luisa D'Annunzio" in Pescara, Italy.
Over the past twelve editions, ClaviCologne has established itself as one of Europe's leading piano festivals, attracting talented young musicians from around the world for an intensive week of artistic growth under the guidance of internationally renowned pianists and pedagogues. This year's distinguished faculty includes Michel Béroff, Milana Chernyavska, Pietro De Maria, Pavel Gililov, Armine Grigoryan, Grigory Gruzman, Hisako Kawamura, Giuliano Mazzoccante, Hans-Peter Stenzl, Volker Stenzl, and Stefan Vladar.
Yet what truly makes ClaviCologne unique extends far beyond the masterclasses themselves.
The festival is designed as a complete artistic and personal experience—a place where young pianists from across the globe come together not only to study, but also to exchange ideas, form lasting friendships, discover new perspectives, and create memories that will accompany them throughout their careers. Against the beautiful backdrop of Italy's Adriatic coast, participants enjoy an inspiring atmosphere that combines musical excellence with relaxation, cultural discovery, and a strong sense of community.
To enrich this experience even further, every participant will take part in an exclusive programme of events included as part of the festival.
Among the highlights is an exclusive visit to the legendary Angelo Fabbrini Piano Showroom, offering a rare opportunity to explore one of the world's most respected names in concert piano preparation. Participants will also attend the inspiring workshop "Practice & Performing – A Way of Living", alongside "The Professional Pianist – A Holistic Approach," which explores the physical, mental, and artistic dimensions of a successful musical career.
A unique workshop with one of Fabbrini's concert piano technicians will provide an inside look at the craftsmanship behind world-class concert instruments, while the memorable Sunrise Beach Workshop: "Body, Breath & Musical Freedom" invites participants to begin the day by the Adriatic Sea, exploring the connection between movement, breathing, and musical expression.
Throughout the festival, participants will also perform in the popular Lunchtime Concert Series, gaining valuable stage experience in an informal and welcoming atmosphere.
The festival will conclude with a prestigious Grand Finale Concert and the official Diploma Award Ceremony, both held in the magnificent historic Teatro Marrucino, one of Italy's most beautiful nineteenth-century theatres. To ensure these unforgettable moments remain with participants for years to come, each pianist will also receive professional photographs, creating lasting memories of their ClaviCologne journey.
With applications already arriving from around the world and places available on a limited basis, interest in the 2026 edition has been exceptionally strong.
For young pianists seeking not only world-class musical education but also inspiration, friendship, and an unforgettable international experience, ClaviCologne 2026 promises to be much more than just a festival—it promises to be a week that will stay with them for a lifetime.
